The Court in this case determined the boundary between the two States in the relevant area.1 Having done so, the Court specifically called upon each Party in exercising its authority over the territory under its sovereignty to have ‘due regard to the needs of the populations, and to the necessity to overcome difficulties that may arise for them because of the frontier’.2
