Beijing's Environment During the Olympic Games and the Post-Olympic Outlook

During the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, Beijing's environment showed noticeable improvements from the past. However, the city still faces serious environmental problems, including air pollution, water shortages, and the impending challenges of climate change. Maintaining the “environmental legacy” of the Beijing Olympic Games is a critical concern for the sustainable development of Beijing and the rest of China.
