Abū l-Qāsim Furāt b. Ibrāhīm b. Furāt al-Kūfī is the author of the Tafsīr Furāt (“Qurʾānic commentary of Furāt”), one of the oldest Shīʿī Qurʾānic commentaries. He is absent from the old Shīʿī bibliographical and prosopographical works, and almost nothing is known of his life and work.
