13th century. Italy. A group of anonymous texts in Latin and the vernacular consisting of a year-by-year list of Paduan podestà, as well as noteworthy events in the city and the region of Padua. Most versions of theAnnalesrely on the annalistic appendix to the chronicle of Rolandino of Padua for the period from 1174 to 1262. While the year 1174 constitutes the starting poing of all versions, most of them go beyond 1262, which was the last year covered by Rolandino.Some versions cover the period up to 1295, whereas others go as far as 1338.
