ʿAmr b. Ḥamiq al-Khuzāʿī (d. 50/670 or 51/671) was a Companion of the Prophet and a partisan (
shiʿa) of Imam ʿAlī. Little is known about his life before he met the Prophet. Apparently his ancestor Kāhin b. Ḥabīb al-Khuzāʿī lived in the ʿUsfān region to the north of Mecca (Ibn al-Athīr,
