Vasi Alisi (Vāsiʿ ʿAlīsi) was a well-known Ottoman
münşi (
münşī, “stylist”) who was active during the reign of Sultan Süleyman (Süleymān) I. Sources ascribe various names to him, including Ali Vasi (ʿAlī Vāsiʿ), Ali Çelebi (ʿAlī Çelebi), Abdülvasi Alisi (ʿAbdülvāsiʿ ʿAlīsi), Mevla (Mevlā) Alaeddin/ʿAlāʾeddīn Ali b.
