Rule 150 of the Rules of
Procedure of the General Assembly provides that the election of members of the International Court of Justice shall take place in accordance with the Statute of the Court.1 Rule 92 provides, in its first sentence, that all elections shall be held by secret ballot. The second sentence, that there shall be no nominations, is not applicable to the election of members of the Court.
