As seen, Article 41, paragraph 2, of the Statute requires notice of the indication of provisional measures to be given to the Security Council. This is now supplemented by Article 77 of the 1978 Rules of Court, by which any measures indicated by the Court under Article 73 and 75 of the Rules, and any decision under Article 76, paragraph 1, are to be communicated forthwith to the Secretary-General for transmission to the Security Council.1
