Article 13, paragraph 4, of the Statute requires members of the Court to discharge their duties until their places have been filled. It continues: ‘Though replaced, they shall finish any cases which they may have begun.’ It is understood that a member of the Court finishing a case under this provision continues to receive the salary at the current rate, on a prorata basis until he or she has finished the case.
