Article 60 of the Statute provides that the judgment is final and without appeal. The finality of the judgment implies that it is the last formal step in the resolution of the dispute brought before the Court and refers the problem of the performance of the obligations of the judgment back to the parties. It expresses the aim of judicial settlement - ut sit finis litium - that the dispute is brought to an end.
