In principle, Article 90 of the Rules provides that proceedings before the chambers shall, subject to the provisions of the Statute and of the Rules referring specifically to chambers, be governed by Articles 1 to 89 of the Rules applicable in contentious cases before the Court. The only relevant provision in the Statute is Article 31, paragraph 4 (concerning the judges ad hoc).
