Known as: al-Qāḍī; Qāḍī al-Brākna; Abū Muḥammad.

Teachers: He studied with ʿAlī b. Muḥammad al-Ujhūrī al-Miṣrī.

Students: Among his students was ʿAbd Allāh b. aṭ-Ṭālib Muḥammad b. al-Aʿmash ash-Shinqīṭī.

ʿAbd Allāh b. aṭ-Ṭālib Muḥammad b. Ḥabīb b. Muḥammad b. Abayja was from part of the Idaw ʿAlī that had left Shinqīṭ following warfare between the Idaw ʿAlī whites and blacks. He performed the ḥājj and then left his tribe. He subsequently took up residence…
