Biography

Educated by her father, she became a scholar in her own right. She accompanied Sh. ʿUthmān on his hijra and was later married to al-Muṣṭafā b. Muḥammad al-Tūrūdī (q.v.). ʿArf al-rayḥān lists her Fulfulde poems:

i) Q. al-duʿāʾ li-qaryat Wurnū.

ii) Q. fī birr al-wālidayn.

iii) Q. fī dhikr ʿalāmāt ẓuhūr al-mahdī.

iv) Q.fī’l-fiqh.

v) Q. fī rithāʾ zawjihā al- ʿālim al-Muṣṭafā.

vi) Q. fī’l-naḥw.
