Biography

Majdhūb’s mother, ʿĀʾisha, was the daughter of Muḥammad Majdhūb b. Qamar al-Dīn, married to an influential Shagaléy-Artēgāwī. He was a dedicated follower of the Mahdiyya, joining the Mahdi before the fall of al-Ubayyiḍ and fight…
