Biography

Muhammad al-Amīn Sall was born in Louga. He studied the Qurʾān in his father’s Qur’ānic school in Louga and then was initiated into other Islamic sciences by a Muslim scholar in Louga and initiated to the Tijāniyya ṭarīqa by his father. He developed a strong interest in tajwīd. He was selected at a competition on recitation organized by the World Muslim League in Mauritania.
