The variation of names by which authors are known has led every compilation consulted for this work to repeat some authors, and despite our efforts there are likely a few duplicate notices for some writers in this work. Also, there are five authors whose names, for technical reasons, appear here in the addenda rather than under their tribal nisba, along with a handful of writers whose identity remains unknown.
