Servatius of Tongres and Maastricht

The history of Servatius starts in the second half of the 6th century CE, when Monulfus was bishop of Maastricht. We know Servatius only from two short stories dating from the end of the 6th century CE, written by Bishop Gregory of Tours in his historical essays The History of the Franks (Historia Francorum) and Glory of the Confessors (Liber in Gloria Confessorum).
