Seville, Councils of

The First Council of Seville, was a provincial council (Councils/Synods), held Nov 4 or 5, 590 CE, in the city’s Saint Jerusalem Church. It was summoned by Leander, bishop of Seville, who presided, and attended by John of Cabra, Agapius of Córdoba, Stephen of Elvira, Basilius of Niebla, Velatus of Tucci, Peter of Guadix, Sinticius of Itálica. The three decrees issued are found in the text which is a letter addressed to Bishop Pegasius of Ecija.
