Peter Newman Anim is known as the father of Classical Pentecostalism in Ghana. He was born to Simon Appiagyei and Hannah Lartebea on February 4, 1890 in Anum Bosso in the Volta region of Ghana. Anim attended the Boso Basel Mission School and the Anum Basel Mission School where he graduated in 1908. He worked briefly as a carpentry apprentice in his brother’s workshop in Amanokrom in 1911.
