Pentecostalism has undergone vibrant growth in some areas of Asia at the end of the twentieth century, while in others it remains infertile. Both its growth and stagnancy deserve scholarly attention. This article will provide an overview of Pentecostalism in Asia from historical and sociological views in three sections. The first section includes East, Southeast, and South Asia, which share political, economic, and religious commonalities. The second section will focus on Central Asia and the third one on West Asia.
