Ray Bloomfield (1924–) began his ministry alongside his father; a dedicated evangelist and preacher at the People’s Worship in Freedom Mission in Auckland, New Zealand. After hearing news of a revival in the United States, his father wrote to discover the reason behind its success. In reply, he received a book by W.V. Grant on the nine spiritual gifts. Together father and son studied and implemented them one by one. Just as the church began to grow, Bloomfield suffered from a serious episode of osteomyelitis.
