Doraiswamy Geoffrey Samuel Dhinakaran, generally known as DGS Dhinakaran, was born on July 1, 1935, in a village named Surandai in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, South India. His father Doraiswamy and mother Hepzibah acknowledged him as a gift from God after much prayer, and dedicated him to God’s service.
