The European Pentecostal Theological Association represents and fosters Pentecostal and charismatic theological education and ministerial formation in Europe. It came into being in March 1979, first meeting in Vienna, Austria (Hocken 2003, 610). At the time, Pentecostals in Europe were gaining a greater appetite for serious theological education as part of ministerial training.
