The country of Jordan lies immediately west of Israel and Palestine, and its northern and north-eastern borders touch Syria and Iraq. Directly east and south, it shares the border with Saudi Arabia. Despite sharing a border with Saudi Arabia, overall, Jordanian culture has more in common with Syria and Palestine than the Arabian Gulf countries.
