Mariano Zuniega Velarde, popularly known as Brother Mike was born on August 20, 1939 in Caramoran Catanduanes, Philippines. Velarde is a geodetic engineer, who runs a real estate business in the Philippines. He is married to Avelina Belen del Monte and they have four children.
