Zhang, Rongliang

Zhang Rongliang (1951–) was born in Sunlu village, Henan Province. Zhang first encountered the church when he was four years old. His younger sister, who had taken ill, was brought to the local church by their older sister, as they had no money to pay for a doctor. It was widely believed that Jesus could heal the sick, and his older sister was already a practising Christian. It was not until Zhang was 12 years old that he converted to Christianity.
