Greek historiographer; representative of the rhetorical school of historiography (alongside Ephorus of Cyme).
His works (speeches, pamphlets, and historical writings) are extant only in fragments. Only his main work, the History of Philip (the Macedonian king Philippus ), can be reasonably well identified. About 370 fragments with approximately 500 lines of verbatim quotations are extant.
