Joachim Kammermeister; German Humanist and poet. Born Bamberg 12. 4. 1500, died Leipzig 17. 4. 1574. From 1513, studied at Leipzig facultas artium, from 1518 at the Univ. of Erfurt; magister artium there 1521. 1535 prof. of Greek at Univ. of Tübingen, from 1541 of Greek and Latin at Univ. of Leipzig.

Work and influence
