Lewenklaw/Löwenklau, Hans; Johannes Amelsburnus (the family came from Amelsbüren near Münster in Westphalia). German philologist, historian and jurist. Probably born in July 1541 at Coesfeld, probably died June 1594 at Vienna. From 1555, studied at Wittenberg, from 1562 at Heidelberg (1563 as alumnus juris) and 1566/67 at Basel [6].
