Greek numismatist and archaeologist. Born Mykonos 15. 4. 1863, died Athens 7. 9. 1922. Studied in Athens, in 1883 also Paris and London. 1888 assistant on the Corpus nummorum at the Königlich-Preussische Akademie der Wissenschaften in Berlin. From 1887 assistant, then 1890–1920 director of the Numismatic Museum of Athens. 1918 prof. ord. in numismatics and sphragistics at the Univ. of Athens. 1914 medal of the Royal Numismatic Society in London, 1920 Huntington Medal of the American Numismatic Society.
