AD 31–65), a Roman from Pompeii who became first the lover, then the second wife of Emperor Nero, is related by Tacitus in his Annales (Books 11–16) and Histories, Suetonius in his biographies of Nero and Otho, and Cassius Dio in his Roman History (62,11–13; 62,27; 63,9–13).
