The Brill’s New Pauly Supplement series, of which this is the eighth volume, complements and expands the content of the fifteen-volume Brill’s New Pauly: Encyclopaedia of the Ancient World and the five-volume Brill's New Pauly: Classical Tradition. Each of the supplement volumes can be used as a self-contained reference work, as well as in conjunction with the encyclopaedia volumes.
