Daughter of the king of Lycia (Iobates or Amphianax, Apollod. 2,25), wife of Proetus, ruler of Tiryns, to whom Bellerophon slandered her because he did not want to requite her love (Hom. Il. 6,160 ff.). From the tragedians on, she is called Stheneboea (Apollod. 2,25).
