A. Varilla, daughter of Sex. Appuleius, granddaughter of  Octavia, the sister of Augustus; in AD 17 she was accused of adulterium and lèse majesté against Augustus and Tiberius but after the princeps' intervention she was merely removed 200 miles from Rome (Tac. Ann. 2,50).
