Leader of the Senones, is alleged to have had Roman envoys murdered (App. Sam. 6 and Celt. 11). The Senones, together with the Etruscans, were defeated in 283 BC at the Vadimonian Lake by Consul P. Cornelius Dolabella and driven out of Italy. The character of B. is perhaps a fabrication of the later Annalists.
E. Klebs, s.v. B., RE 3, 882.
