Small Umbrian-Celtic town at the foot of Mt. Garampo on the river Savio (Str. 5,1,11; Cic. Fam., 16,27,2; cf. also the Cesuola, a stream, which flows into the Savio), modern Cesena. Road junction on the via Aemilia; municipium, possibly tribus Pollia. Centre of centuriation.
