River in the upper catchment area of the Maeander in eastern Caria, modern Başlı Çay; it passes Laodicea [4] closely to the east (Plin. HN 5,105) and discharges perennially into the Lycus, which runs about 1.5 km below the town in a north-westerly direction towards the Maeander (Str. 12,8,16; Plin. HN 2,225).
