[German version]

(in editions of Tacitus erroneously P. Celer); patrimonial procurator in Asia to Claudius and Nero (I. Eph. 7,2,3043/44; SEG 39, 1172). At the end of 54, C. murdered Iunius Silanus, procos. Asiae, at the behest of  Agrippina; in 57 accused in the Senate by the Province of Asia; but the trial was dragged out until his death (Tac. Ann. 13,1,2. 33,1).
