Mythical son of Apollo and Thero (in Plut. Sulla 17: Thuro); founder of the city named after him, Chaeronea (Hes. Cat. fr. 252 M-W = Paus. 9,40,5f.; Hellanicus FGrH 379 F3). Plutarch names a son dead in childhood after him (Consolatio ad uxorem 5 p. 609d).
