Tribe north-east of Rome between the Monti Cimini and the Tiber, culturally closely connected with the Latins and Etruscans. The capital city was Falerii (Civita Castellana), and there were also towns called Narce (Fescennium?), Capena, Nepi ( Nepete) and Sutri ( Sutrium). From the 8th cent. BC Falerii and Narce flourished under the influence of Etruscan Veii.
