Vicus in south-east Venetia on the Padus in the territory of Verona (Tac. Hist. 3,9), river port on the Ticinum - Ravenna route (ab H. per Padum, Tab. Peut. 4,5), modern Ostiglia. Beginning of the southern branch of the via Claudia Augusta (ILS 208, Padana). Mentioned in connection with the battles of AD 69 (Tac. Hist. 2,100). A special honey production was practised here (Plin. HN 21,73).
