Settlement in Campania, c. 8 km north-west of Cyme [2] in a swampy, malaria-infested region (Str. 6,3,5), modern Literno. The mention made of a fossa Graeca (Liv. 28,46), a canal dug for drainage and the reclaiming of land, supports the view that Cyme was probably very influential (Dion. Hal. Ant. Rom. 7,3).
