Gaulish people who are only mentioned in Caes. B Gall. 7,68,1 and Str. 4,2,3. Capital Alesia (oppidum Mandubiorum). Their territory is probably identical to the modern region of Auxois (pagus Alisiensis in the Middle Ages). In Roman times the M. appear to have merged with the Haedui people.
