Ponticus
(50 words)

[German version]

Epic poet of the Augustan Period, friend of Ovid (Trist. 4,10,47). Propertius addresses Elegies 1,7 and 1,9, to P. as the author of a Thebais, achieving a contrast between erotic elegy and epic by representing P. as desperately in love.
