Eponymous king of the Trojans; grandson of Dardanus [1], great-grandfather of Priamus and Anchises (family tree: Hom. Il. 20,215-240; Apollod. 3,138-153; Dardanidae). Owner of miraculous horses, given him by Zeus as recompense for his abducted son Ganymedes [1]  (Hom. Il. 5,265-267).
