Talat Pasha, Mehmed (Talât Pasha or Mehmed Talat)
(September 1, 1874, Adrianople [modern Edirne] – March 15, 1921, Berlin [assassinated]), Ottoman statesman. Born into a poor family, Talat Pasha joined the underground movement of the Young Turks in 1890.
