Two exhibitions held in celebration of the Museum’s 10th anniversary in independent quarters at 1109 5th Avenue. The first, “Tenth Anniversary Exhibition of Ceremonial Objects”, was a loan exhibition of Judaica treasures from the Strauss-Rothschild Collection of the Musée de Cluny Museum in Paris. Because the objects arrived only 10 days prior to the opening, no proper catalog could be issued. The second was a Collector’s exhibition featuring more than 50 items from the collections of Museum friends, mostly from New York. The catalog also includes a summary of the Museum’s activities during its first decade (“After Ten Years”, by Stephen S. Kayser). No itemized listing. |
