One of two inaugural exhibitions that opened the Jewish Community Museum of San Francisco. Co-sponsored by the Museum and Skidmore, Owings and Merrril, the competition challenged artists to create a theologically, structurally and aesthetically compelling sukkah. Preface by Helaine Fortgang. “Some Thoughts About the Sukkah Competition” by Mark Goldstein. Presentation of five entries. Statements by each participant about his/her construction. 5 items.
