Description

Works on paper and in glass by American paper-cut artist Tsirl Waletzky. Introductory text on the artist by Judith C. May. Introduction to the history of the Jewish papercut, and Waletzky’s continuation of and contribution to this genre, with particular emphasis on her judaizing of modern universal symbols (Dov Noy). The papercuts were supplemented by ritual objects and synagogue art designed by Waletzky and executed in stained glass by David Nulman. 34 items.
