Exhibition in five main sections, focusing on: Mayer Amschel Rothschild’s rise from the Frankfurt Judengasse, the family’s success in five European cities, their carefully-constructed self-image (and negative portrayal in the press), business activities, support of Jewish settlement in Palestine and the State of Israel, persecution by the Nazis, and contribution to the development of the city of Frankfurt in the 19th C.
